KETTERING CO-OP PROGRAM
Earn Diverse Engineering Design and Project Management Experience
Earn a rich hands on learning experience with engineering in the manufacturing field with ESE!
ESE has a long history with Kettering University’s co-op program. Almost all of ESE’s full-time employees started as Kettering undergraduates working as a co-op student at ESE!
Typically we hire students starting their freshman year at Kettering. This way we can develop our students from the ground up into highly experienced professional engineers by the time they graduate.
In your first year as a freshman at ESE, you will gain experience in most if not all of the following:
- Basic CAD skills using Solidworks ® in part design, assembly design, drafting
- Reading Technical Drawings
- Basic machining skills including a manual mill and lathe
- Mechanical assembly
- Electrical assembly
- Small project management
- Learn about customer relations
- Learn about supplier relations
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team
By the time our co-op students become seniors, they will be designing and managing their own small projects almost entirely on their own.
We also have plenty of opportunities for your Kettering Thesis project.
