Dual Tooled End Effector
This pallet conveyor tending robot uses a pneumatic gripper configuration that allows it to pick up mirrored variants of a workpiece. The dual tool allows it to carry up to two parts simultaneously in any paired combination. It can carry two Left-mirror variants, two right-mirror variants, or a left & right mirror variants.
The compact design of the end effector reduces the payload on the robot axes to maximize travel speed. The small size also allows the robot to access the conveyor and assembly machine in multiple orientations to accommodate the mirrored variants of the workpiece.
The main mounting place of the end effector also features gun drilled pneumatic porting into the grippers to minimize exposed tubing that can wear over time.
